MERRY CHRISTMAS

2025

What Child is This?

2025! It has definitely been a challenging year for me, along, with those of so many friends and family.

It was, admittedly, tempting to just skip my annual Christmas greetings this year! However, when I really stopped to consider all the additional, unexpected blessings God has sent even in the midst of some painful situations, my personal concerns seemed to pale. Keeping in touch with those who have and currently add such joy to my life, brings an overflowing thankfulness to my heart while at the same time putting most struggle in a more positive light.

Of course our children and grandchildren are a continuous delight, learning new skills and experiences. I am so proud of the our children, who now as wonderful parents, give their all to loving and raising their families.

Mark is continuing to hope to land a coveted, hard to find, full-time professor position so that he can have time and energy for other positive options in life along with his teaching. He just does not have many free hours of time to expand his social contacts. I am praying that soon that situation will change in God's planned time.

Little by little, my house is coming together! Yea! I finally have real floors! I have enjoyed working in the yard  during the past fall... which was relatively mild in temperature for Texas. Just being outside kept me from overly stressing about the "inside"! 😎 It must be the "sunshine vitamin D" that was helping as well!

My dear friend Pam (You will remember her as one of the “miracles” notated in my book!) sent me her beautiful Christmas harp arrangements and wanted to share it with all of you, as it is just so beautiful and calming! 🎶

As I know we are all keenly aware of the worldwide upheaval in our modern world, I felt led a few weeks ago to send what I call my "Radio Play" version of the "Tapestry Drama" with the prayer that we will be encouraged and reminded that even one man can be instrumental in world wide renewal as what so unexpectedly occurred during the 16th century Reformation. So many of you during my unplanned ”Tapestry Journey" of many years contributed in making this story come alive through my “learn as you go homemade demo!”

Many times, we all laughed as we undertook our "parts" as characters in this drama. I will never forget any of you or the sweet memories of your willingness to just jump in…even at the spur of the moment...So, even if it is little by little, I hope you can find times to listen... perhaps even on your phones either “taking it easy” or out for a walk! 😊 Of course, I will always be totally indebted to my incredible friend and mentor, the amazing Dr. Ovid Young who will always be missed! Without him, this never would have reached completion! Of course, Robert McFarland, my longtime fabulous baritone friend really made Martin Luther come to life!

Please, feel free to forward the “Tapestry” recordings to anyone who might enjoy listening!

A Blessed and “Merry  Christmas!”

With love to you all!
